1. Polls

Members with posting permissions can attach a poll to a post to gather feedback and drive engagement (web & mobile).

  • Poll option in the post composer, alongside Media and GIFs (a post can't contain both media and a poll)

  • A question plus 2–10 answer options; options can be added/removed with a minimum of 2

  • Poll end date & time via date/time pickers, or no end date

  • Public (voters identifiable) or Anonymous (votes hidden) visibility

  • Single-choice voting with Change vote; the total count stays consistent when a vote is swapped

  • Results shown as progress bars with percentages and counts; a View Votes modal (bottom sheet on mobile) lists voters per option

    • Admins see full voter details; non-admins see voters per that voter's display-name/privacy settings; anonymous polls never reveal voters

  • Active polls show time remaining; expired polls show Final results

  • Polls support comments, likes, pinning, favouriting, moderation and scheduling

  • Poll vote data is included in GDPR member-deletion requests

2. @Mentions (Member Tagging)

Members can @tag other members in posts and comments (web & mobile, in new and edited content).

  • Type @ to open a searchable member list that filters as you type; on mobile an @ button in the editor toolbar opens the same flow

  • Tags are visually distinct and link to the member's profile (for trainers); multiple members can be tagged per post/comment

  • Community Admins can tag @all to notify everyone

  • Respects display-name settings — on Initials Only communities individual tagging is disabled and only @all is available

  • New Tagged in a post / comment notification preference (default on); only one notification is sent per event (no duplicate alerts); moderated posts notify tagged members only after approval

3. Threaded Replies to Comments

Members can reply to a comment to keep conversations grouped (web & mobile).

  • Reply action on each top-level comment; single-depth threading (a reply to a reply joins the same flat thread)

  • Reply count shown on the parent; 1–3 replies expanded, 4+ collapsed behind a "View X replies" prompt

  • Replies use the same limits as comments (rich text, 1 media item, 500 characters), sorted oldest-first

  • Authors edit/delete their own replies; Admins and Moderators can delete any reply (Moderators can't delete an Admin's reply)

  • New Replies to your comments notification preference (default on)

  • Deleting a parent comment also deletes its replies — the delete confirmation copy has been updated to make this clear
