Q: Which plans get Workouts AI? Does it cost anything?
A: Workouts AI is free at launch on all plans, including trial accounts.
Q: Is Workouts AI available on the mobile apps?
A: No, it's web only at launch, accessed via Workouts on web. Native mobile support is a future consideration. Clients are unaffected: assigned workouts appear and log as normal on all platforms.
Q: Do trainers need to accept any terms before using it?
A: No. Unlike Check-Ins AI, there is no T&Cs acceptance gate. An "AI generated" disclaimer is shown to trainers when creating and editing with AI.
Q: Can clients tell a workout was built with AI?
A: No. Clients receive an AI-built workout exactly like any other assigned workout, there is no AI labelling on the client side. The "AI generated" disclaimer is trainer-facing only.
Q: Where does the AI get its exercises from? Can it invent exercises?
A: Every exercise comes from the My PT Hub exercise library, the AI never invents exercises. The trainer's own custom exercises take priority over the standard library when matching. If there's no good match, the AI suggests the closest alternative.
Q: Can a trainer bring workouts over from another platform?
A: Yes, this is one of the strongest use cases. Trainers can drag & drop or upload a photo (e.g. a whiteboard or handwritten plan), a spreadsheet, or a PDF into the chat, and the AI rebuilds it as a structured My PT Hub workout. File size and page limits are validated on upload.
Q: Does the AI know about the trainer's client?
A: When working on a client's workout via their client profile, yes, the trainer can ask about the client's recent exercise history and personal bests directly in the chat.
Q: A trainer says the AI refused their request or showed an error β what should they do?
A: Errors include a Retry button, and error messages distinguish input problems (rephrase the prompt) from output problems (try again). Guardrails will also block harmful or inappropriate prompts and responses. If a specific conversation repeatedly fails, escalate with the trainer's details.
Q: A trainer says their AI access is locked or refused β what's happened?
A: Their account has likely hit the excessive usage lock.
Q: Can additional trainers use Workouts AI?
A: Yes, additional trainers have full access for their assigned clients.
Q: Does it work in languages other than English?
A: Yes, trainers can prompt in their own language and the AI responds in the same language.
Q: Is client data safe? What does the AI see?
A: The AI only accesses the data needed to build the workout (e.g. the workout draft, and client profile context when working on a client's workout). Conversations are protected by owner-based access checks, Bedrock Guardrails validate content safety, and AI conversation memory is deleted as part of GDPR account deletion.
Q: Can the AI restructure things like supersets, cardio, or timed exercises?
A: Yes, it can create and break supersets, handles time-based exercises using Work Time, and supports distance-based and cardio exercises with standardised columns. Highly structured formats (stations, EMOM, AMRAP) may need manual refinement after generation.
Q: What happens if a trainer edits the workout manually mid-conversation?
A: That's fine, AI and manual edits coexist. The conversation continues against the current state of the workout draft, and the trainer can switch between chatting and manual editing at any point.
Q: What's the emoji rating bar in the AI chat?
A: Trainers can rate their AI conversation using five emoji ratings (π Not helpful, π«€ Not quite right, π Okay, π Good, π€© Amazing), with an optional written comment. The rating applies to the whole conversation and can be changed or removed at any time. Feedback is reviewed internally.
